LW-9389 TIM Thermal Resistance and Conductivity Measurement Apparatus

Introduction
LW-9389 is based on ASTM D 5470-06 Standard, which is applicable to both homogeneous and heterogeneous materials with different types, to measure thermal impedance (thermal resistance) and calculate apparent thermal conductivity of thermally conductive electrical insulation materials and thermal interface materials, such as thermal grease, thermal pad, thermal gap filler, phase change material, ceramics, metals, circuit board, MCPCB, MCCL, and PCM, etc.

The main purpose of thermally conductive electrical insulation materials and thermal interface materials is to enhance heat transfer in electrical and electronic applications, so it is important to know its heat transmission properties.

Fourier’s Law of heat conduction and guarded heater method are both applied to this apparatus.

Features
1. Follow ASTM D 5470-06 standard
